On February 28, casinos in Quebec will reopen after implementing new safety regulations.

The Quebec government last week announced plans to ease regulations on such establishments; as part of these plans, the Casino de Mont-Tremblant will reopen on March 3.

While entrance procedures such as vaccination passports and required face coverings remain in effect, business opening hours vary widely. The same rules apply to employees working in the gaming area.

Christian Dubé, the minister of health and social services, has said that mandatory vaccination passports and face coverings will remain in effect.

Each casino will have a 50% capacity, whereas theatres can run at 100% so long as the necessary safety precautions are taken.

The Quebec government has declared a strategy to end the present lockdown while also bringing the province to a point where its citizens can "learn to live with Covid" in the long run, which is why restrictions are being lifted at this time. The government is also revising regulations pertaining to eating establishments, social clubs, and drinking establishments at now.

One of the primary drivers of this good action is a decrease in hospitalisation of over a thousand persons over the past three weeks. Nearly all public health restrictions in Quebec are expected to be lifted by the middle of March, according the provincial government.
