BK8 is criticised by Norwich City supporters.

The operator has drawn criticism for publishing pornographic material on one of its social media pages.

Fans were not happy that their team had established such linkages, despite the fact that the posts were published as part of the company's own marketing push.

After learning that BK8 had used pornographic content to market itself, some supporters condemned the Canaries for their agreement with the firm.

In September 2019, Premier League teams Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur abandoned 1xBet due to a similar issue.

After the outcry, Norwich City made sure that its new sponsor had taken down the pornographic material from its accounts and emphasised that it did not "align with the wider vision and values" of the club.

A club spokesperson stated: "The club worked swiftly with BK8 to remove the posts following the announcement of the new partnership."

The club will now reassess its due diligence procedure moving forward, they further stated.

BK8 responded to the situation on its own, apologising profusely to the team and its supporters.

"BK8 would like to sincerely apologise for any offence caused by our historical marketing," the business added.

"We acknowledge that this marketing strategy is inappropriate for a Premier League relationship. We have right away taken down all such marketing materials, and we'll be reviewing our marketing plan going ahead.

Dafabet had been replaced by the Asian betting company as Norwich City's primary shirt sponsor for the forthcoming season.
